We would like to invite you and your loved ones to attend our 18th Annual Benefit Dinner, Auction, and Entertainment on February 9, Saturday, 5:30 p.m. - 10:00 at the Mount Angel Community Festhalle.
Your presence and support at this event, our biggest fundraiser, would go a long way in providing a great education for our children. Please see what the evening, open to those14 years and older, has in store for our guests:
A Delicious Dinner and Fine Entertainment. This year, we're honored to have the Mount Angel Abbey and Seminary Instrumental Ensemble provide dinner entertainment.
Led by Br. Niels Nielsen, OSB on the douçaine, a rare medieval wind instrument, the wind and percussion ensemble will play a lively repertoire of classical, jazz, folk, and medieval tunes.
Notably, Br. Niels is a trailblazer in douçaine performance and scholarship. Be one of the few people in the world to hear the beautiful sound of the douçaine, which was silenced for 500 years with the sinking of King Henry VIII's flagship, the Mary Rose, and was recently salvaged. A delicious homemade dinner will be served from 6:00-7:00 p.m. The menu: A choice of Chicken Parmesan or Almond Chicken in Cream Sauce Served with Fettuccini, Spring Mix Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette, Green Bean Medley, Herbed Roll with Whipped Butter. A Dessert Bar. Sparkling Cider, Coffee, and Tea. Wine and beer will be available for purchase.
A new promotional film about Holy Family Academy, produced by noted filmmaker Marc Salvatore, will be premiered, followed by a special musical number by HFA students.
How about bidding for a prime rib dinner for eight with a horse drawn carriage ride? A Portland Spirit Cruise? A landscape package? Wine tasting for 12 at the Willamette Valley Vineyards? A five-course meal for eight? A dessert a month? Just to name a few.
Great raffle prizes. A Traeger Wood Pellet Grill ($700 value), a two-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Astoria, Oregon, meals included ($375), a Debbie Grassman queen-size quilt ($350); and an Al's Garden Center Certificate ($100). The Lucky Number winner will receive a $250 cash prize.
